Info
Ricc(ardo) Spott is a phD student at the Institute for Infectious Diseases and Infection Control. His area of expertise is RNA-seq, workflows, containerization and nanopore sequencing.
Projects
preplex: Phenotypic carbapenem-resistance due to porin loss and efflux overexpression (secondary resistance-mechanisms) in gram-negative bacteria. Cooperation with Curetis and Ares Genetics GmbH, using genotype- and phenotype-data to identify marker-genes responsible for a carbapenemase-resistance.
SARS-CoV-2 Routine-Sequencing: Weekly routine-sequencing of randomized Corona-samples from all over Thuringia as well as from the Jena University Hospital, utilizing Oxford Nanopore 3rd Generation Sequencing.
